Online Presence... Is It Important?Over the past 17 years of being in Real Estate as an agent I've sold hundreds of homes that for some reason or another didn't sell with the previous agent. Having a background in professional architectural photography I was always critical of how we presented our properties online but it wasn't until I read an article in the National Association of Realtors that I became convinced of something I've been convicted of; "you have 12-15 seconds to capture the attention of your viewer, the buyer, to entice them to see more pictures, the video or call to see the property."
In other words the quality of the images have a direct impact on a buyer's action leading to enticement or leaving to another listing. Another interesting fact is that buyer's will see an average of 12 homes prior to making a decision. Our job as listing agents is to get them into the house. Once in the house there are also a ton of things that will help cement the deal but that's a topic for another day.
